The Ideal Christian Man
This was the message preached on Sunday by Rev. Prophet Dr S. V. O Okpere (JP) at Deliverance holy mission Int’L Inc Headquarters Benin city. Addressing the congregation during the grand-finale of the two days 2023 national Men convention, he noted that there are millions of self-professing Christians around the world today,who prioritize God’s blessings above the one who blessed them in the first place, when you begin to choose your job over God, you are prioritizing the blessings over the blesser. Noting that the ideal Christian man is the one who represents God in all ramifications, on like the biblical Elisha who did not find his life journey with Elijah easy. the Prophet said, though his ears was loaded with People’s word fraught with distractive words. Even Elijah rebuked him but he didn’t gave up. His patience earned him an opportunity to experience how to cross a river of obstacles and became an ideal man of God’s heart.
Prophet Sunday Okpere who supported his assertion with the scripture he took in 1st Kings 19:19-21, and 2nd Kings 2:1-15, Matthew 8:5-11, and Acts 10:1-8, tasked believers in Christ to pursue the blesser rather than the blessings and said, reasons why there are more women and Children in the church of today, could be the men ‘s quest for material things together with worldly titles more than the women and Children, without knowing that, godliness with contentment is great gain.
