This was the sermon preached on Sunday by Rev Prophet Dr S. V. O Okpere JP at the 23rd day of the mission’s 30days of Concealment Camp Prayer and fasting going on at the Headquarters of Deliverance Holy Mission Int’L in Benin City. He tasked Religious Leaders irrespective of their Religious affiliation to be an example of what they Practice. Noting that, religion was a better examples to Unbelievers to emulate before Democracy stablized in this Part of the World.
The Prophet said, promoting brotherly love has now been overlooked by sentiments which was not in the characters of the founding fathers of any of the Religions Practiced in our Land, religious sentiment have gave birth to all sorts of evil in our Lands followed by the Love of Money with quest for materialism. He buttressed his assertion with the Scripture he took in Genesis 17:1–27, Mark 3:31–35, Luke 9:57–62. Enjoined Believers in Christ to follow the principles of our Lord Jesus Christ, who started His Ministry with Prayer and end up with Prayers. The Prophet has observed that not many Christians are committed to prayer and fasting again hence the battles in our land continue unabated ti. And said, the Prayerful Church is the Powerful Church.
