Always renew your covenant with God
Rev. Prophet Dr. S. V. O Okpere JP has called on Believers in Christ to always renew their covenant with God Almighty. The call was made at the first Sunday of the new year, which is also the first covenant Sunday of the seven covenant weeks of Prayers , at the Deliverance Holy Mission Int’L headquarters Benin city. He remarked that, only by renewing our covenant with God by fervent Prayers we can break free from the satanic sieges of limitations that is battling with our faith in God. Noting that, God’s plan for all His creation is to prosper and be in good health. The Prophet Said, the higher we go, the bigger the oppositions in our pursuits.
He said, the message is not to frighten their faith, but to prepare them for the reality of what is happening in the Body of Christ. He supported his assertion with the Scripture he took in Isaiah 43:13–28,Marks 10:46–52, 2nd Corinthians 10:3–13, noted that, the weapons of our warfare are not canal but Mighty in God, to the pulling down of strongholds and added, the higher a building is the deeper the foundation, so also every Believer should be in the Christianity Practice. He stressed further that the height you want to get to in life, will determine the depth that we reach in God. The Cleric said, the biblical Blind Bartemaeus is a good lesson to learn from, who resisted his oppositions and got his eyes restored. So also it will be when we are in covenant with God, our expectations will be fulfilled.
Highlights of the service includes: prophetic declarations for peace and harmony in Edo state and beyond especially as essential commodities has skyrocketed. Covenant Prayers declarations led by one of the officiating ministers. Meanwhile the seven Sundays of Covenant prayers will continue next Sunday. Testimonies from the congregation with Choir Special renditions and
prophetic new prayers for the congregation brings the service to a closed.
