Buried Talent (Season 1)
This was the sermon preached on Sunday by Rev. Prophet Dr. S. V. O Okpere (JP) at deliverance holy mission Int’L Headquarters Benin City. He tasked Nigerian Youths to create a platform that will showcase their talents and impact the nation with good works. Noting that, talent is the inherent ability to do what others cannot do with ease which can only be achieved by training, and said, Activities is not Ability. The Prophet lamented over the act of ignorance in the youths of this age in the name of social living, Many are killed in the process, while some died in the wilderness. Majority of them became street boys, pursuing material possessions without any skill.
Prophet Sunday Okpere supported his assertion with the Scripture he took in 2nd Kings 7:1–20, Matthew 25:14–30, and 2nd Timothy 1:6, enjoined the Youths to ensure they are well trained and work on their talents, by believing on themselves. even if it seems nobody recognizes them, first of all recognize yourself than going about with cars and houses, which are not the first thing. The Prophet has admonished the Christian Youths to avoid the temptation of burying their talents.
